The Glasgow Shutter Company is based in the West End of Glasgow and has been successfully supplying and fitting premium quality hardwood shutters for more than seven years now. Starting out as the Scottish agents for our sister company Shutterly Fabulous (based in Brighton) we naturally progressed to form our own company a number of years ago, still fitting the same high quality products as supplied by the California Shutter Company.

As a family business we pride ourselves on offering a personal service to our customers, helping with design and specification to suit any project whether domestic or commercial. Our website allows our customers to calculate the cost of their shutters before contacting us. There are no hidden costs or service charges. We always advise potential customers to be wary of companies or websites that do not allow them to calculate a rough cost for their shutters without having a sales person visit their home. We never hard sell. High quality shutters are made from selected hard woods and will last for many years unlike cheaper products made from MDF and even LDF.

Design and style advice is always available from Iris; we handle in-house consultations to offer the best possible choice from our wide range of painted or stained shutters. Ken (Iris’s husband) is our expert fitter; drawing on years of experience in the joinery trade; he is very resourceful and can generally offer a solution for trickier installations.

Although we are based in the West End of Glasgow, we can supply shutters all over Scotland – from the Borders to the Highlands, from Edinburgh to Ullapool, Aberdeen to Oban, Dumfries to Durness – we will even visit you in the Hebrides, Orkney or Shetland Islands. Measuring and installing custom made plantation shutters in Scotland is particularly exciting and challenging for us and we love the fact that we can help people in the remoter areas enjoy having these beautiful additions to their homes!
