White Shutters for Cardiff bedroom bay windows

Plantation shutters are becoming popular throughout all areas of South Wales and these Cardiff shutters show how a standard Georgian Bay window in Wales can be transformed. Bay windows can be hard to dress with their angled side windows posing a problem for a single run of drapes.
Bay window shutters work fantastically as each window of the bay gets its own shutter frame with panels and adjustable slats allowing the customer to decide how their shutters function and how the panels work and ultimately how much light they want coming into the room.
WestWay shutters visited this Cardiff customer and suggested the neat option of a Midrail travelling horizontally across each shutter panel. Take a close look at the photo and you can see that it aligns perfectly with the natural break of the window itself which has a series of fanlights at the top of each glazed window.
This Mid rail option seen here is a great design for a bay of this type which tend to have a top opening fan light, in the case of the Cardiff bay window, it disguised the horizontal bar which breaks the window into two parts and allows the shutter louvers to open in two parts. The louvers on the bay shutter above the midrail open together in unison, but independently of those shutter louvers below the midrail. Allowing air to circulate when the fan light is open, and also allowing the customer to alter how the light comes into the room.
Midrails have the added bonus of giving tall bays extra panel stability, strengthening the run of louvers travelling up the height of the white indoor shutters.
White shutters for this bedroom bay, give a fantastic effect to the room with the sunlight which can come in at different angles and lift a bedroom.
