Track Door Shutters appeal in Wales
.jpg)
Patio doors can be tricky to dress but track shutters offer a neat solution. As this photo of sliding shutters installed by Westway in a home in Monmouth, Wales shows, the clean lines of these bilfolding panels means that when the panels are opened, they stack nicely at the side of the French doors, ensuring the doors are exposed giving uninterrupted views and easy access to the garden.
Track door shutters come in 2 different varieties. These are call bypass track shutters or bifolding track shutters. The installation as shown is a bifold track system. This means that the panel concertina in a zig zag fashion. With bypass shutters the panels slide behind / in front of each other.
Customers of Westway Shutters will receive advice on the best track system for their home. This customer in Monmouth was looking for shutters for doors and was advised that narrower panels would work well on a bifold / concertina shutters system where the panels will therefore not protrude into the room when they fold back. This works well in rooms where you don’t want to lose space in the room with panels stacked against the wall and taking up space.
When you consider how neat shutters are as a window treatment, curtains which take up a lot of wall space either side of the door, seem outdated.
