Every home’s windows are unique, in shape, size, angle and view. With some wanting to make optimum use of their view and others wanting privacy it is important to pick a shutter specialist who best understands your needs.
This Southampton based customers striking Victorian bay windows were crying out for a unique covering to fully display their stained glass feature, whilst allowing optimum coverage and privacy at night. Contacting leading Southampton shutter specialist Shutterly Fabulous they were booked in for a free In House Consultation to talk through their options.
The result are these stunning Victorian solid shutters, which with their tier on tier split are the perfect centre piece for their Hampshire home.
Having fitted shutters to a number of street facing homes, the consultant understood that privacy was needed in their lounge. A tier on tier, split solid panel shutter option was selected enabling closure at night, the full shutters to be open during the day, or the bottom tier of the solid panel shutters to remain closed for partial privacy whilst allowing daylight through the top half.
Detailing was also important to keep the traditional effect with their Victorian solid shutters. A solid raised inlay was selected, adding dimension and interest to each panel. The bright white finish, whilst matching their existing frame also benefitted by ensuring maximum light to reflect off into the room. Additional to this dark brushed steel hinges were selected to ensure their solid panel shutters most matched their existing room features.
A further benefit to solid panel shutters is their insulating properties, with the hard wood cutting out drafts, perfect for the winter months and for reducing that heating bill!
