Their large south west London home had been renovated in a contemporary style, with crisp white walls and natural wood floors and they came to Shutterly Fabulous to design and fit plantation shutters for Velux windows to complement their London property.

Unlike blinds, shutters for Velux windows allow control over how much light comes through into a room. Originally looking for blinds, the customer realised whilst they wanted to be able to block out some of the light in the day, they ultimately wanted  solid hard wood shutters to complete their design, providing a focal point for the room with a unique window covering, and allowing control of the light filtering through during the day.

The consultant ensured the shutters matched the customers taste and style. The cloudy white finish ensured the shutters for their Velux windows complemented their minimalist décor. The push rod option adds a slightly traditional feature, which gives the Velux windows an element of interest to the design, drawing the eyes up to admire the windows displayed.
