Colonial window Shutters, Bristol

Bristol may not be the first city that comes to mind when you say colonial shutters but the city has an ever increasing number of discerning home owners who like shutters as a window treatment.
This lovely open plan living space in a home near Bristol has walnut plantation shutters installed, which do look quite colonial. This is helped by the rich dark wood stain applied to the plantation shutters which contrasts nicely with the light wooden floors. Plantation shutters are commonly ordered in a white painted finish but you have a wide selection of fantastic wood stains that you can select.
This customer was advised by the owner of West Country Shutters (who install shutters not only in Bristol but all through the south west UK, including Devon and Cornwall) to select a wood stain for their shutters that would contrast with the floor colour. Often, it does not work to try and select a stain colour for your shutters which is too close to the wood colour of flooring or furniture in the room. Contrasting the tones, as shown here, works very well.
While plantation it a term applied to this window treatment that has become more commonplace in recent years, customers do call requesting a quote for colonial shutters. Whatever you want to call them, we are on hand to help and design, manufacture and install shutters that you can be proud of for years to come.
