Arched shutter design in York home

Yorkshire shutters company, Shutterly Fabulous is our trade partner based in North England, North Yorkshire who install internal window shutters in the city of York and throughout the county.
Arched shutters are a stunning solution for shaped windows as you can see in this photo. One feature of building design that architects and developers often overlook is window treatments and what options are open for shaped windows such as arch windows. Think about this. If you put a blind or a curtain on these arches in the photo, you are effectively putting a rectangular shaped window dressing over the unique curves and shape of the window. You are therefore loosing the unique characteristic of these wonderful feature windows.
This Yorkshire shutters installation has 3 adjacent windows. The panels on each window are full height and are hinged to open back to the right. In reality these shutter panels are rarely pulled open (apart from cleaning). That’s why making the panels with larger louvers is a good idea as the large louver lets more light enter the room and gives you a clear, uninterrupted view through the slats.
The Shutterly Fabulous team travel around Yorkshire giving no nonsense clear advice on the different design options open to you. For example, these arched windows could have been installed with shutters that have a sunburst shape at the top, separate from rectangular shutter panels on the lower portion.
