Special Shaped Shutters

Our custom made shaped shutters can also be manufactured to your exact requirements, enabling window coverage in the most awkwardly shaped windows.

Many homes, particularly period homes have feature windows, hallway corner windows and odd shaped glazing in places. Whilst this can present a problem for some traditional window covering, plantation shutters often provide an ideal solution, being well fitted and requiring little space as they can be recessed into openings

The most common specialty shaped shutters our customers request are arched shutters for both windows and doors. Arched plantation shutters are available with various options – the arched part of the shutters can be a single panel in the shape of a sunburst (also known as fan shaped shutters) which can be fixed in position or hinged to open downwards to allow access for cleaning your window or door. The plantation shutters can also be full height and incorporate the arch shape into the panel. The drawings you see here show these different arch options for your shutters.

There are many uniquely shaped windows around and the good thing about custom made plantation shutters is that they are made to measure your window exactly – custom made to the strangest of shapes and sizes. Funnily enough – odd shaped windows are normally better suited to having custom made plantation shutters fitted to them than any other type of window dressing! Our plantation shutters can be manufactured as circular shutters, triangular shutters, raked/angled shutters in fact you name it and we’ll do our best to manufacture made-to-measure plantation shutters for it!
